El Yaque
Once a sleepy little
fishing village, it is now a premier spot for
windsurfers from around the world.
A 10 minute ride from the airport “Santiago Mariño”,
whit a quick change of clothes, you can be out sailing
in no time. The best part El Yaque is that it’s shallow,
waist deep with an excellent sandy bottom for 300 yards
out which makes it an ideal place to learn to windsurf
and kite.
MARGARITA ISLAND
Is a state of Venezuela, located on the north of
coast of south America with a surface of 930sq km (362sq
miles) has 244 km (95 miles) of seacoast . It is tepid
and windy, being typical of the tropic with a
temperature between 28oC-32oC (78-86oF) and population
of approx. 300.000 inhabitants.
The strategically location permits several excursions to
interesting tourist cal places.
HOW TO ARRIVE

Final destination is
Porlamar airport (PMV), on Margarita Island.

from Frankfurt or with Martin Air from Amsterdam.

THE WIND
Consistent side-onshore winds are usually lighter in
the morning and build to 25 * mph in the afternoon .
Strongest and most reliable winds blow January-July.
WATER
Flat and shallow 220-400yards from shore, gradually
turning into chop. Fun rolling swell a bit further from
shore makes for exciting bump and jump conditions.
